So – as one might expect from a new forum – we’ve had nothing but Bots signing up. This sucks, to be frank, but I have a solution!

Now, we have a Captcha! But not just any Captcha, this one is from Cloudflare!

You have likely seen Cloudflare captchas all over the internet, as they are pretty popular. They are easy to use, and do a good job telling Meat from Metal, so to speak. Anyway, we’ll see how well this works over the coming weeks, but I have hope that this will be the solution this site needed.

I have to say, this has been WAY more effective than I ever thought it would be! Not a single bot has signed up for the website since I put the new measures in place. Then again, no real people have signed up in that time, either, so make of that what you will.

Regardless, it is quick and easy to sign up, so it isn’t a problem with the website (I’ve checked). We just need to get some activity going to help build momentum.
